Familiar

Familiar was my final year project that I completed in fulfilment of my undergraduate degree. This is the first personal project I have created, it explored many themes such as walking, ideas of home, memory and snapshots. I finished this project when the UK first entered lockdown. This gave the project a different meaning, now not only thinking about what home meant to me but also being stuck there.

My influences and inspirations came from Susan Sontag, Rebecca Solnit, David Bate. Of particular influence was Akiko Busch: Geography of Home. The images here are of various places I feel at home, the outcome of this project was a photobook.
